Andrew.
I am a results-oriented senior leader with over 30 years of experience in strategic leadership, operational management, and program development, specializing in Canadian architectural history and heritage conservation. An expert in stakeholder relations, I have a proven ability to manage complex projects, multi-million-dollar budgets, and large asset portfolios. I have held key roles such as the first Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals, the National Heritage Conservation Manager at BGIS, a National Historic Sites Superintendent at Parks Canada, and manager of both the Federal Heritage Review Office and the Canadian Register of Historic Places. I have been a director of the National Historic Sites Alliance: a professional network of like-minded owners and managers of National Historic Sites. I am also an adjunct professor and occasional teacher at Carleton University and have authored a book on the architecture of the national capital region: Exploring the Capital (Figure1 Publishing). I hold a master’s degree in architectural history from Carleton University and have held leadership roles in various heritage organizations, including the Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada. My area of expertise is modern architecture and planning in all its manifestations.
